Makhpela (2002)

Makhpelah is a true return to the source- replete with a large image of its namesake, it transports you on a voyage to Judaism’s second holiest site, the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron. This rich and full-bodied wine is produced at the Hevron Heights Winery, in the hills overlooking Hebron, countryside rich in history, tradition and lore.

*This bottle comes in our exclusive wooden wine gift box, making it an elegant and luxurious gift.

Winemaker’s Note:
This is a stunning, rich blend of 70 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 26 percent Merlot and four percent Marzane, aged for more than 20 months in the finest French and American Oak Barrels. Only a few hundred cases of this wine have been produced. This wine combines spicy aromas with a touch of vanilla and smoky oak. The well-balanced palate is soft and rich, with plum and dark cherry flavors highlighted by fine tannins. Can be aged for quite a few years.
